My Name

There is a sea inside me,

Waiting, haunting,

I try to hold it in but,

It suffocates me, this knotting,

To stop these waves of twists and turns,

Self-containing strength I attempt to earn,

My heart keeps rusting,

From people not worth trusting,

The sea can't leave me,

Yet the sea is what I loathe,

To take on my demonic waters,

No man has ever come forth,

The sea is cold under the sun,

And boiling under the moon,

Only in isolation I can claim,

It sets free in the pillow of my room,

It exists even in my name,

My soul, meandering, strewn.
